Winners 2013 - 2021 - Check out the leading clubs!
Duncan Ross - winner in 2018 and 2019 - about his experience with the AAC:
Some of my favourite memories of my time racing in U16 are from my participation in the Alpine Athletic Challenge. Each fall it provided the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends I hadn’t seen since the previous season as well as meet new racers from other clubs.

From a fitness perspective, the AAC is a great way to push yourself in a supportive environment. Although it is dryland oriented, it could not be further from fitness testing. All of the events are enjoyable and some are simply super goofy. At the end of the day, the AAC is just for fun. Every coach there is working hard to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone involved and no one is putting any pressure on you.
Finally, every year the coaches do a great job finding people and businesses willing to sponsor the event. There is always an amazing collection of draw prizes and awards all the way from skateboards to tuning equipment. I highly recommend participating--I guarantee you’ll have lots of fun!
2018 winner Taylor Slater about her experience when joining the BC Ski Team for a dryland session in July 2019:

"My experience with the BC ski team was very rewarding. I spent the morning training with the athletes and coaches in the gym. The afternoon we trained outdoors in a sand pit. This was a new dryland experience for me and by far the hardest and best part of the training day.  The entire team was cheering me on. We did race starts with bungees, jumps through the sand and more. One of the most positive aspects of the team was that they were all very supportive of each other and inclusive. It was great to see that everyone is good friends. Overall I had a really great experience with the athletes and coaches and truly appreciate the opportunity to experience a day in the life of the BC team."

And to all volunteers and coaches - thank you for your continuous support!!
